  • Hi, me again!

Just wanted to ask you to be careful on what you publish on the wiki. It should be original content. For several reasons I would want to lower the amount of verbatim quotes from other sources. Links and own words is a better way, IMHO.

    • I had that on a wikia of another game I managed. Constantly having to tell people to only use content/info from in the game

    • Everything I added is something useful when playing the games.

    • I didn't mean to complain on the content being off topic, but what I meant was that it's not optimal to take stuff from other sites. See the rules.

      http://www.wikia.com/Terms_of_Use#Submitting_Content_to_the_Site_and_Copyrights

I'd say that it's not perfectly free to use in-game-content either, so best option is you create your own content based on the references you have. I'm not going to enforce this on you, but would still like to point it out. You can ask the poster (permission) to write it on the wiki but there may be a reason why they choose not to.

Another reason is that the wiki structure isn't that of a forum. I feel that random info that aren't put into context is better left out until you can dedicate yourself to the topic context. Maybe you can create a "wishlist page" of links with info that you think should go into the wiki.

      Topic change:

About content, I often fail to see the purpose of new pages you make. E.g. I don't see why you want the "suggestions" on the wiki when it's got a more suitable place in the forum.

What's the benefit of duplication? Are you expecting another way of collaborating that isn't working in the forum? As of now the page doesn't introduce itself, apart from saying WIP and that to me isn't clear if it means "don't touch" or "join the work". Either way, I don't see where the work is heading.

At least during work you should link to the forum threads so one can follow the entire discussion if interested.

  • Lol, I have no ideal how I got here lol. I saw one of ur videos. It was an "outpost" I play the game on my phone and iPad and haven't seen outpost before. It looked like u were playing on a pc. Is it only a pc part of the game?

  • Hi Lance!

You edited survivor page to add section headers to recruitments. Did you intend to remove the "story connection" header or plan to put other stuff under that? Or make the episode headers into sub-headers under it? I think it can be removed. Perhaps we should have a header on the stats too, what you think? Check the help section to learn more wikia editing skills.

Second thing: I suggest you put the damage/HP stats in the table instead of at the recruit info. That's what the table is there for.

    Cheers, JAGulin

PS. Good work putting relevant wiki links into forum discussions and getting attention to the pages and the already gathered info.

    • Hi,

Yea it look better without story connection header.

The idea for the stats in () is the stats the survivor has in the rescue mission with the starting items, it is not the naked value of the table, this info help to plan a succesful mission.

The naked value should also be put in the table.

Thanks for help and praise :)

    • I see. But then

      a) Put the naked value in the table (it should be same as for other, right?)

      b) add info about the equipment recruit is carrying (can be used by others)

That will be useful in case you need to strenghten your team, instead of going radio you know if it's worth to complete the next mission instead.

Your intention was to be able to see at a glance if the team will need to be able to protect the recruit during the mission? Without knowing the layout I guess that's not so useful (sometimes you're not able to control that one very much). I think to be able to use the info you'll need to make a full mission guide. (And I don't know if that's very useful on the wiki since there are other sources for that.)

      Agree?

  • Hi there. I suggest to merge video into cinema page if there is no additional info.

Could you also write some about the benefits of watching videos? Are they the same for Cinema and box opening videos? Do they follow the same renewal count?

(Video doesn't work on my device, so I don't know unfortunately.)

    Cheers, JAGulin

    • I made the page with the idea to put more info in it a a later time.

        Loading editor
    • That's great, but I see no value in having lots of pages for similar information. I now merged Cinema page into Video page and added TODO where I hope you'll be able to fill in relevant information. Try it out and let me know if it didn't fit your grand plan.
